  • On September 14, 2024 SEACORP, LLC (SEACORP) of Middletown, RI attended the commissioning of the U.S. Navy’s newest and most advanced fast attack submarine, the USS New Jersey (SSN 796), at the Naval Weapons Station Earle in Middletown, New Jersey.

    The USS New Jersey bears the same name as the highly decorated Battleship New Jersey (BB-62) which served during WWII and the conflicts in Korea and Vietnam. RADM Ronald Tucker (retired), the final Commanding Officer (CO) of the Battleship New Jersey passed the long glass to Commander Steven Halle, CO of SSN 796, to assist in setting the first watch.

    SEACORP has proudly contributed to the Virginia Class submarine program since its inception and are proud sponsors of the USS New Jersey commissioning.

  • On August 9, 2024, SEACORP, LLC (SEACORP) of Middletown, RI celebrated the expansion and redesign of its production facilities in Groton, CT. The project increases both the capacity and efficiency of SEACORP’s production floor as part of the company’s mission to provide cutting edge systems and solutions to the U.S. Navy.

    Ranking Member of the House Armed Services Subcommittee on Seapower and Projection Forces, Congressmen Joe Courtney (CT-02) joined the celebration as SEACORP’s Director of Production Operations, Jeremy Russell, officially cut the ribbon. Said Mr. Russell, “We are proud to be a part of the U.S. Submarine Industrial Base, and this expansion and redesign improves our ability to provide the highest quality products and meet on time deliveries to support our nation's submarine fleet.”

    With major offices in Middletown, RI and Groton, CT, SEACORP employs over 600 people. “Our CEO, Roy Kapani, remains committed to investing in SEACORP’s capabilities and facilities to assure we provide the U.S. Navy with state-of-the-art facilities to support their missions,” said Dave Cadorette, SEACORP President.

  • On 30 April 2024, SEACORP, LLC (SEACORP) of Middletown was awarded a $72 million, seven-year contract with the U.S. Navy for the AN/BYG-1 Common Infrastructure Services/Common Computing Environment (CIS/CCE) program. SEACORP will provide software architecture, design, development, integration, test and evaluation, logistics, and life cycle sustainment for the Submarine Combat and Weapon Control System program office (NAVSEA PMS425) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Technical Direction Agent.

    “SEACORP is excited to work with the PMS425 program office, NUWC and our teammates on this initiative.” commented Vince Traglia, Vice President of Combat Systems. “We bring our extensive knowledge of the submarine combat system and SWFTS processes to a vital initiative to develop and deploy the CIS/CCE.

    SEACORP will improve the submarine combat system architecture to enable efficient utilization of computing resources and promote a computing environment to enable timely system capability improvements. The work will be performed in Middletown, Rhode Island; Manassas, Virginia; and Waterford, Connecticut.

  • On March 15, 2024, SEACORP, LLC (SEACORP) of Middletown, RI was awarded a $90 million, five-year contract with the U.S. Navy for Undersea Warfare (USW) Strike Systems. SEACORP will provide system engineering, technical services, and materials for current and future submarine strike systems, weapons, and payload control systems. The contract includes both software and hardware prototyping for Tomahawk missile and other weapon arrays.

    The contract was awarded under Code 25 of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) located in Newport, RI.

  • On 21 February 2024, SEACORP, LLC (SEACORP) of Middletown was awarded a $28 million, five-year contract with the U.S. Navy for VIRGINIA Class (VA) / COLUMBIA Class (CLB) /SSN(X) Special Projects (Special Projects). As the incumbent contractor, SEACORP will continue to provide engineering and technical services to design, build, test, maintain and support operation in Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems (NPES) performance interoperability and system integrity to Code 25 of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT).

    SEACORP will rapidly assess the design and operations of VA, CLB and SSN(X) submarine NPES and then introduce and recommend system design and operational changes that will improve upon the submarine’s performance and payload employment capabilities.

  • SEACORP, LLC.   • On 2 March 2023, SEACORP, LLC (SEACORP) of Middletown was awarded a $41.9 million, five-year contract for Submarine Trainer Maintenance (SUBTM). SEACORP will provide engineering services to the Combat Control Systems Department (Code 25) of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) to maintain all Code 25 trainers, including developmental and prototype training systems.

    SEACORP will provide the full range of systems engineering functions required to ensure trainers around the globe are in full operational condition and a Ready-For-Training (RFT) state.

  • On 15 September 2022, SEACORP, LLC. (SEACORP) of Middletown was awarded a $79 million, five-year contract by the Office of Naval Research (ONR). Under this contract, SEACORP will design, develop, and integrate the Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare (EMW) Modular Suite (EMWMS) as a configurable, experimental, and operational unit.

    SEACORP is tasked with designing, developing, and integrating the EMWMS geared towards EMW specific capabilities and missions as defined by the government. Along with their team of subcontractors, SEACORP will support the design, assembly, integration, and testing of a complete EMWMS system using a certified CONEX box; Inorganic Receiver Units (IRUs); Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR); Counter ISR Capabilities; Communications Links; Signal/Data Processing; Remote Operator Sites; Information Assurance (IA); and Laboratory/At Sea Demonstrations.

  • SEACORP, LLC. (SEACORP) of Middletown, RI was awarded a $40.9 million, five-year follow-on contract for Code 34 Electronic Warfare (EW) and Electromagnetic (EM) Special Programs on August 30th. SEACORP will provide engineering services to Code 34 of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport to develop and field special mission EW and special augmentation systems, subsystems, sensors, and associated networks onboard submarines and other platforms such as Unmanned Aerial and Undersea Vehicles (UAV/UUV).

    SEACORP will perform a wide range of engineering and program management functions in support of EW and Communications special programs that augment submarine tactical capabilities. EM Special Programs is responsible for the development and test of prospective systems, in-service engineering support for existing systems, and quick reaction support to the Fleet based upon new and emergent operational requirements. Engineering services provided under this contract will include fleet and operational services, engineering and software development, assembly and fabrication, test and evaluation, configuration management, and program management.

  • On July 24th, SEACORP, LLC (SEACORP) Middletown, RI was selected for a Phase I contract supporting the Navy under the Federal Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program. This Phase I effort will give SEACORP the opportunity to develop innovative solutions for Unmanned Underwater Vehicle (UUV) challenges, especially in detecting vessels and stationary objects. Work being performed in support of this effort will take place primarily at SEACORP’s Jacksonville facility.

    The SBIR program is a three-phase program that offers incentives to businesses of less than 500 employees to allow them to capitalize on their innovative research. The purpose of Phase I is to determine the technical merit and feasibility of the proposed concept. Phase II further explores the scientific merit and commercialization potential of the concept while Phase III focuses on transition to targeted systems and additional commercialized application.

  • On April 4th, SEACORP, LLC (SEACORP) Middletown, RI was selected for a Phase I contract supporting the Navy under the Federal Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program.   • SEACORP, LLC. (SEACORP), a leading provider of engineering services and technology to the United States Navy announced December 8, 2021 that it has acquired Jacksonville, Florida-based Analysis, Design & Diagnostics, Inc. (AD&D) in a private transaction. AD&D was founded in 1992 by owner and president Gary Donoher, and specializes in Acoustic Analysis, Automated Acoustic Sensors, Advanced Data Processing technologies, and Modeling for both marine mammal research and tactical naval applications.

    “We are excited to have Gary and the AD&D team join SEACORP. Their technical expertise compliments and enhances much of the work SEACORP performs for the Navy,” said SEACORP Vice President Jason Vetovis. “This acquisition will allow the expansion of SEACORP’s existing Electromagnetic Systems portfolio through the integration of AD&D’s enhanced acoustics collection and processing capabilities.”

    Mr. Donoher will continue with the company with a new title of Director of Southeast Operations, and the entire AD&D team will integrate into SEACORP’s Electronic Warfare Hardware Business Area. “We are excited about the potential to further grow our business with the additional capabilities within SEACORP,” shared Mr. Donoher.

  • SEACORP, LLC. (SEACORP) Chief Executive Officer Roy Kapani is pleased to announce the appointment of David Cadorette as President, effective January 1, 2022. His appointment is a clear reflection of the company’s current state: excited after another strong year of growth and ready to take on the future. SEACORP is poised for major expansion in the Distributed Maritime Operations market, for both services and products.

    Mr. Cadorette, who has been with the company for over 22 years, brings decades of experience to the position and has a proven record of advancing customer-centric Business Areas within our company to the next level. With years of successfully won and executed contracts, he has contributed much to the position of SEACORP as a preferred provider of engineering services to the United States Navy. Prior to his new role, Mr. Cadorette was Senior Vice President of six major Business Areas within SEACORP, Vice President of Business Development, Vice President of Technical Operations, and a Business Area Manager.

    David Lussier, the current President of SEACORP, will step down from the role but continue to serve as Executive Vice President, overseeing the administrative staff and all infrastructure related departments. Mr. Lussier has been with SEACORP for 30 years, serving the last five as President, and was instrumental in guiding SEACORP through its recent growth in both services and production, as well as its sale to Mr. Roy Kapani in March of 2021.

    Today’s announcement follows another strong year in which SEACORP is expected to achieve approximately 20+% in revenue growth and is rapidly approaching the $100 million annual revenue milestone. There is enormous opportunity for SEACORP to expand the products and services it offers, and with the appointment of David Cadorette as President, SEACORP is well positioned for continued growth.

  • On August 5th, SEACORP, LLC (SEACORP) of Middletown was awarded a five-year, $16.6 Million contract from the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport Undersea Warfare Platforms and Payload Integration Department, Code 45. Under this Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase III contract, SEACORP will continue to develop, upgrade, and adapt Modular Launch Canister Technology and Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) gas generators as a source of launch impulse energy. SEACORP will develop inflator-based launchers for new payload applications such as Lightweight Torpedoes, Anti-Torpedo Torpedoes, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, Unmanned Underwater Vehicles, and Sonobuoys.

    Work performed will include program planning and system definition, capabilities and interface specification, modeling and simulation, trade-off analysis, prototype design, assembly, test and evaluation, Integrated Logistics Support, and environmental testing.

  • SEACORP, LLC. (SEACORP) of was awarded a five-year, $36 Million contract from the Undersea Warfare Electromagnetic Systems Department (Code 34) of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport on July 7th. Under this Phase III effort, SEACORP will continue research and development initiatives to develop the Next Generation (NG) Electronic Warfare (EW) Human Machine Interface (HMI) and bring new capability to the warfighter. Work performed under this contract will include systems engineering, software engineering and development, prototyping, integration, test and evaluation, production, installation, program management, and configuration management.

    The SBIR program is a three-phase program that offers incentives to businesses of less than 500 employees to allow them to capitalize on their innovative research. During Phase I, SEACORP presented solutions for enhancing the operator experience for NG EW displays and controls and during Phase II, SEACORP developed a fully functioning prototype.

  • On May 14th, SEACORP, LLC (SEACORP) of Middletown was awarded a five-year, $14.6 Million contract from the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport. SEACORP will continue to develop and produce the Submarine Portable Weapon Launch System (PWLS) from Commercial Off the Shelf (COTS) components for use with weapons and other payloads launched from submarines. The PWLS will implement a COTS-based Open System Architecture (OSA) and will provide, at low cost, the ability to prototype applications related to Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW), Strike, surveillance, and other missions.

    Efforts under this contract will focus primarily on modifying the submarine combat system as part of the development of payload integration prototypes. Work performed will include Concept of Operations (CONOPS) and requirements development, software development, integration, and testing.

  • On 29 April 2021, SEACORP, LLC. (SEACORP) of Middletown was awarded a $12.9 Million, five-year contract by the Undersea Warfare Platforms and Payload Integration Department (Code 45) of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Newport, RI. SEACORP will support Unmanned Undersea Vehicle (UUV) payload integration by providing engineering services in support of the Shock and Fire Enclosure Capsule (SAFECAP) system.

    Services performed under this contract will include program management, quality assurance, prototype fabrication, and refurbishment. SEACORP and its team of subcontractors will provide these services, along with material and travel in support of the program.

  • SEACORP, LLC. (SEACORP) is proud to announce we played a key role in supporting the Office of Naval Research (ONR) and the Navy and in their recent Unmanned Integrated Battle Problem 21 (UxS IBP 21). Executed by the U.S. 3rd Fleet, the UxS IBP 21 is a U.S. Pacific Fleet exercise that kicked off on April 19th off the cost of San Diego, California. The weeklong event concluded with a successful missile launch at a long-range target well beyond the line of sight, demonstrating the Navy’s warfighting advantage in the integration and collaboration between manned and unmanned capabilities.

    The Electromagnetic Maneuver Warfare (EMW) experiment deployed Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USV) along with Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) working in concert with manned platforms to extend the Navy’s Battle Space Awareness, enhance their Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) situational awareness, and extend their long-range targeting capability. SEACORP developed, produced, tested, and installed the EMW ISR payload on the SEA HUNTER, a Medium Displacement USV (MDUSV). The SEA HUNTER played a pivotal role in the exercise, which was declared a huge success by Navy officials. SEACORP is proud of the technology we’re able bring to the warfighter to enhance the EMW ISR mission.

  • SEACORP, LLC. (SEACORP) of Middletown was awarded a $14.1 million, five-year follow-on contract for Weapons Analysis Facility (WAF) Engineering and Technical Services on April 26th. SEACORP will provide engineering services, technical services, and materials to the Undersea Warfare Weapons, Vehicles, and Defensive Systems Department (Code 85) of the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) in Newport.

    As the Navy’s only real-time Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Modeling and Simulation (M&S) capability supporting Heavyweight and Lightweight torpedoes across the full spectrum life cycle, the WAF maintains its world-class status by applying current and emerging technologies to undersea vehicle system simulation performance. Services provided under this contract will include feasibility analyses, model modification and integration, simulator development and upgrades, undersea vehicle hardware and software interfaces implementation, engineering services, software technology, and program management services.

  • Systems Engineering Associates Corporation (SEACORP), a leading provider of engineering services and technology to the United States Navy announced March 19th, 2021 that it is being acquired by Roy Kapani in a private transaction. Mr. Kapani has 30 years of experience building and running successful technology companies that support the National Defense and National Security agencies of the United States of America. Mr. Kapani is the Founder of ECS of Fairfax, VA, which he ran until its sale in 2018.

    Dave Lussier, President of SEACORP and his executive team of Dave Cadorette, Craig McMillian and Tanya Zaleski will continue to lead SEACORP and will ensure that the company continues its employee centric culture and commitment to delivering outstanding products and services to its customers.
